Attorney at Law Magazine St Louis — January 2012
PRACTICE AREA OF THE MONTH
“Anyone seeking legal counsel from a family law attorney should come to the table open, honest and fully engaged in protecting their interests,” says Kirk C. Stange of Stange Law Firm, LLC. The advice also represents that firm’s corporate philosophy of providing first class service to all clients—by being open, honest and fully engaged in protecting their client’s interests.
Stange Law Firm attorneys focus entirely on family law. The firm was founded in 2007, by Kirk and Paola Stange. Their passion for the law and for serving their clients, drives the firm and is a key element in their rapid growth and success.
Kirk Stange is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Paola Stange is a trained collaborative law attorney and a trained guardian ad litem. Both are graduates of the prestigious ABA Family Law Section Trial Advocacy Institute. Kirk Stange serves as a mentor through the Missouri Bar Mentoring Program and is a National Member of the Order of the Barristers.
Clients are currently served from four offices by twelve attorneys, six paralegals and additional office personnel. However, more growth is projected for 2012. Areas covered include divorce and separation, child custody, paternity, child support, father’s rights, motions to modify and contempt.
“Families and individuals come to us for many reasons, but one of the foremost is the amount of direct accessibility we provide,” Stange says.
Each client is given access to an online case tracker, a secure website where all documents related to the case are posted. This is a two-way service allowing the client to comment or ask questions. Responses are posted as quickly as possible. The case tracker increases the client’s knowledge about the case and in a shorter amount of time than traditional in-person visits, phone calls or even e-mail queries. Clients are provided their attorney’s cell phone number and all calls are returned promptly.
The firm has a Client Care Representative who coordinates case work with the Director of Operations to ensure that clients receive the highest level of customer service at all times.
Stange predicts a significant shift in family law in the future. “Today more than 40 percent of America’s children are born out of wedlock. Inevitably, paternity cases will rise and will likely come close to equaling divorce cases in quantity of legal proceedings.”
To meet those coming and existing needs, Stange Law Firm has opened law offices in in St. Louis, MO; Arnold, MO; St. Charles, MO; and Belleville, IL. “We don’t want our clients to have to drive long distances to a single location for their legal services,” Stange says.
Multiple offices, accessibility, a total commitment to family law and a passion for first class legal services are traits that built Stange Law Firm, those and perhaps one more—a clientfocused attitude. As Stange says, “We’re open, honest and fully engaged in protecting our client’s interests.”
